Happy 2025! Big announcement.

Welcome to the new year, everyone! I hope its been a pleasant holiday season. While I can’t say I’m looking forward to getting back to work, I am looking forward to 2025’s gifts and adventures. In fact, my words for the year are PLAY and WONDER.

But on NYE I decided to do Yoga with Kassandra’s 1 hour New Year’s Intention Setting class (highly recommend), and a new word came up ~ REST. So, this year, I’ve got three words, and I’m okay with that. Do you do words of the year?

My big announcement piggybacks my previous post’s update, which is, I’m finally publishing my second memoir Misfortune Cookie over at No Girl is an Island.

Another reason why I’m over at Substack, these days, is I can directly load my audio into each post. Unlike here, where I need to find hosting for my audios, like through Soundcloud, where you eventually have to pay. So, each Thursday (Indochina time), I’ll be publishing both my voice and my written words in chapters, or reasonable installments.

This will keep me on task, editing it, getting feedback, and getting it out there because it’s long overdue. Later in the year, I’ll look at putting it on Amazon. But for now, I’m simply focusing on serialization.

Hope to see you over there, and many blessings to you and your family. xo

I’m Lani

Welcome to Life, the Universe, and Lani. I’ve been blogging about my experiences living abroad since 2009.

At this point, this site serves as an archive as I’m mostly active at No Girl is an Island 👉https://lanivcox.substack.com/ 🏝️where I have been both newslettering and continuing to craft personal essays on finding freedom in the fringes.

Thanks for stopping by, have a look around, and hope to see you over at No Girl is an Island.
